On Sunday, we did an early morning excursion in the Northern Italian city of Genoa (Genova). Our main purpose was to tour the United Nations World Heritage Site in the city, which was called Via Garibaldli. This area consisted of 80 historical palaces and buildings that were once home to some of the richest people in Europe. Many of the buildings that KDS students got to walk through were over 500 years old. Our second main reason for travelling throughout Genoa (Genova) was to find and eat some world famous Minestrone soup. This type of soup was invented in the city. We were successful on both fronts, and we all had a very interesting morning.
We walked through many back alleys that were extremely narrow and more than 500 years old. We were living history!
